C.E. #4.3
Short Response:
1. 10%
2. #blowingthewhistle
3. Homes with energy-efficient features that mean little to no energy bills for the homeowners
4. Sparkling water called Bubly
5. I'd want to own the iPhone X because it'd be interesting to see and work with the new changes. I'd also get it for the better camera.
Long Response:
1. The World Health Organization is adding "gaming disorder" to their list of diseases this year. Gaming disorder is classified as "persistent or recurrent gaming behavior". Therapists have started to see this condition now more than in the past, and are glad that they can finally put a name on it and help people.
2. Some indications of the disease are an inability to quit playing, video games take up time and are seen as more important than other interests and daily activities, and excessive usage results in negative consequences.
3. An addiction is the urge to do something, it doesn't matter the substance.
4. I do think video games are a serious problem. My brother is always on his iPad playing something and he gets really into it and starts yelling at the characters. He plays so much that he sometimes forgets to eat. My parents have tried taking away his electronics, but they also baby him a lot so he always gets them back. It's really sad to see him so engulfed in this alternate reality when there are things he could be doing in the real world to help him learn and grow.
5. I used to play video games when i was younger like Super Mario, but it wasn't 24/7. My parents set limits based on what they thought was healthy for me.
6. I don't think any of my friends are addicted to video games. I say that my parents put limitations on my electronic usage, and they say the same. Their parents make them finish homework and then they can play video games for maybe a couple hours.
7. Some solutions for the disease from the article is telling the person what they're going to do (interact with family, eat something, go outside) before taking away their source of fun. Another solution is limiting video game time to a couple hours each day because it's more healthy.
