Interview with Abbie Brien
I was named student of the month because of my hard work and perseverance.1. Why were you named student of the month?
Yes, all the hard work and effort that I've put in is definitely worth it.2. Do you think all the extra work and effort that you've put in is worth?
Yes because compared to my other peers, I worked the hardest.3. Do you think you deserve this title?
There is enormous pressure from my teachers and parents.
4. After being named student of the month, do you feel there is pressure to do good in school?
They see me as more hardworking and someone who tries their best.
5. How has your new title effected how people see you?
After school I go home and start on homework and study. I stay organized too.
6. What are your study habits?
I study for 3 hours a day on average.
7. How many hours a day do you study for?
I am part of the bowling team at Bowie, and I practice outside of school.
8. What extracurriculars are you in both in and outside school?
There isn't much time for friends or family but I'm doing what I love.
9. How do you balance school and extracurriculars?
Don't give up and choose the right classes.
10. What advice would you give to someone struggling to do good in school?
4 hours of homework on average.
11. On average, how many hours of homework do you have each day?
I've always done really well in school.
12. Were you always someone who did well in school?
Yes, colleges have reached out to me.
13. Has becoming student of the month opened up any opportunities?
Jealousy from my peers.
14. What are some challenges you've faced in getting where you are?
I see myself as a lawyer or at another kind of high priority job.
15. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I have a 4.7 GPA, and I still want to go up.
16. Describe your current grades.
Anyone who's hardworking and makes great grades could achieve this title.
17. Who else do you think deserves this title and why?
I make reminders and lists.
18. What helps you to remember to turn in work on time?
They are happy and very proud of me.
19. What do teachers think of you being student of the month?
Work hard and try to keep your GPA above a 4.0.
20. What advice would you give to someone who wants to be student of the month?
