Additional Student of the Month Interviews
Parents:
1. When did Abbie start to become interested in school?
She always really liked school, but became more serious about it when middle school started.
2. In what ways have you helped your child to focus on academics?
We've encouraged her to pay attention and take notes in class. If she needs help with homework she can come to us too.
3. Has her studying interfered with her health?
Sometimes she is too focused doing homework that she forgets to have dinner. She usually stays up most of the night to finish studying.
Teacher:
1. Do you think Abbie deserves to be student of the month?
Yes. She works really hard in class and is always eager to learn.
2. Is she always ready and prepared when class starts?
She is usually the first person in the room, and starts preparing for class immediately.
3. Would you say that Abbie is a role model to other students?
She is a role model to other students because she keeps up with class assignments and her grades are exceptional.
Friend:
1. How do you feel about Abbie being student of the month?
I think it's really cool that she's student of the month. She worked really hard and she definitely deserves this.
2. Has her focus on school influenced you to try harder?
She's always doing work and studying which has kind of rubbed off on me. I realized that I need to step my game up and not slack off as much when it comes to school.
3. Because she is always doing homework, do you find it hard to make plans and see her?
Sometimes I'll ask her to hang out but she'll say she's busy because she's studying for the next week's lesson. It's kind of annoying but I know it's for her own good.
